At this time in my life and my practice, I am taking mostly appointed cases.
We all know from watching TV and movies that when someone gets arrested they are told “you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law, you have a right to an attorney, if you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed to represent you.”
Our system of justice only works if lawyers are willing to do this work. There is a great need in our county right now for lawyers willing to do this, so what I'm doing is much of it as I am needed by the courthouse to do.
I do take a couple of private cases a time at a time on the side, but my primary practice is a point at work right now.
